Ashburnham Insurance would like to apologise for disruptions to our website over the weekend. Unfortunately our online payment provider, HSBC, suffered a huge disruption to their secure online ePayments system which seemed to begin early Friday 28th March 2008 and was not sorted out until late Sunday 30th March 2008.
This affected all companies that use the system which we can only imagine has severely impacted many businesses across the country. Although there were no security issues, we removed all options of online payments from our website such as the ability to purchase a liability policy and to make renewal or adjustment payments via our online payment page.
Please rest assured that had we had left these services in place, you would not have been able to make a payment anyway and it may have caused concern on the basis that unusual behaviour would have been returned on your browser.
Although this was no fault of Ashburnham Insurance, we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused any of our customers and it appears that the services are all back up and running again now if you want to try again.
