Landlords pet damage insurance provides protection from damage caused by your tenant’s domestic pet at your let property. This is an extension to your standard landlord insurance policy and offers cover up to £5,000 for any one incident.
With the Renter’s Rights Act 2025 now allowing tenants to keep pets, this cover is more important than ever for landlords. You, as a landlord, can no longer refuse your tenant to keep a pet, so there is now an additional risk of damage being caused at your property, which a standard landlord policy will not normally cover. Pet damage insurance is your solution.

On completion of your standard landlord insurance quote, you will have the option to add this cover, or if you already hold insurance with us, give us a call and we will look to add this to your existing policy. There are additional terms and conditions to this policy, which can be found in the insurer’s current policy booklet. There may also be updates or amendments to what is written here, so we request that you read the policy documentation in full before any policy is taken out.
