Today is the Chinese New Year and we would like to wish all of our customers who celebrate this event, a happy new year! Traditionally the first day of the lunar month, this new year is the year of the Ox.

The most important holiday of the Chinese year. It is a time when people join their families to celebrate together. Many towns will have specially arranged parties and fireworks displays.

Although a joyful day for most, there are some that cannot wait for the days to finish as soon as possible. This is mainly due to the overpopulation in China making such events extremely crowded and leaving the areas full of litter once the day is over.

It is in fact a 15 day celebration ending with a lantern festival where people walk the streets carrying lanterns.
