RAF Red ArrowsThe skies of Southend-on-Sea seafront will once again be graced by a host of spectacular aircraft as the annual air show arrives on Bank Holiday weekend on Sunday 25th May 2008 and Monday 26th May 2008.

Legends of the sky such as the Hercules, Lancaster, Hurricanes and Spitfires are amazing to see. The Typhoon maybe a bit harder to see due to its speed but can certainly be heard! There are obviously many other planes to see over the weekend but as usual the RAF Red Arrows are a firm favourite at the Essex coast.

Their amazing aerobatics are truly awesome and leave the crowds along the seafront “oh-ing” and “ah-ing” at their stunts. The schedule of the aircraft can be found at the official Southend Airshow website along with visitor information.

One of the largest free air displays in Europe makes this an event that cannot be missed. Usually the weather is great so pack your picnic and suntan lotion and get down to beach!
